Home Depot tool chest used as a dresser

Home Depot Dresser

Home Depot “dresser”, cheaper than the “nicest” IKEA ones, beautiful casters, solid drawers on ball bearings, barely any assembly required, optional hard wood top, possibility to lock your drawers and, best of all, can be repurposed as a tool chest. The industrial chic style might not fit all rooms…

These tool chests cost $100 at Home Depot (Husky, Model # H4TR1R, Tool Cabinet 27 inches wide with 4 Drawers) and the $20 hard wood top looks nice (Husky, Model # HOCN260001, 27 inches Hardwood Tool Cabinet Top).

The only assembly required is 4 bolts per caster and 4 bolts for the side handle.  They even provide a small wrench, like IKEA.  The very visible “Husky” logo can be pried out with a knife, it leaves two small holes on the top front (barely visible).  They are not light, get a friend to move them around.
